These terms govern the sale of AEES Executive Certificates offered in the Academy’s certification space. They apply to anyone who places an order, whether the fee is paid individually or by a third party. Together with the programme page and the information shown at checkout, they form the contract.
1. Definitions
- “AEES”, “the Academy”: the European Academy of Higher Studies, the provider.
- “Candidate”, “you”: the person who orders, or for whose benefit the certification is ordered.
- “Specification”: the public page describing the programme, audience, preparatory content and assessment arrangements.
- “Service”: access to the preparatory content, the assessment and, if successful, the verifiable certificate.
2. Provider
The Service is provided by the European Academy of Higher Studies, 60 rue François Ier, 75008 Paris (RNA W751270685 · SIREN 923 913 420). Orders: certify@aees-edu.eu.
3. Purpose and nature of the awards
Each order covers access to an assessment and, if successful, the issue of a private AEES certificate that can be verified online. The certificate is an institutional award. It is not a state diploma, nor a qualification registered on the RNCP, unless a verifiable statement appears on the Specification.
Success is never automatic: it requires compliance with the instructions, the integrity rules and the required result. AEES does not guarantee employment or automatic equivalence with a national diploma or university credits.
4. Description of the service
The Service is described on the Specification. Depending on the published programme, it may include preparatory content, an assessment and, if successful, a certificate with a verifiable identifier. Only specifications open for enrolment can be purchased.
The terms and information displayed during checkout prevail for the transaction concerned: price, currency, number of attempts, access period and any special conditions.
5. Formation of the contract
The contract is formed when AEES confirms the order, after payment has been received or after express validation. AEES may refuse, suspend or cancel an order in the event of inaccurate information, fraud, non-payment or unavailability of the programme.
You warrant the accuracy of the information provided. Any identity falsification may lead to cancellation of access and of the certificate, without prejudice to other measures.
6. Price and payment
The price, currency and any fees or taxes are shown before confirmation. Payment is made, according to what is available at the time, by card via Stripe or by PayPal. Card data are not stored on AEES servers.
Access to the assessment and issue of the certificate may be conditional on payment confirmation. Any invoice query must be sent in writing to certify@aees-edu.euquoting the order reference.
7. Access and integrity
Access is personal and non-transferable. The candidate must follow the instructions, deadlines and integrity rules presented for the certification ordered. Plagiarism, identity substitution and undeclared use of a generative system in a summative assessment are breaches.
A technical interruption does not automatically guarantee a further attempt. AEES examines reported incidents in the light of the evidence available and the terms of the order.
8. Withdrawal and refunds
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you generally have fourteen days to withdraw, in accordance with articles L. 221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.
That right no longer applies once performance of the Service has begun with your express agreement and waiver, in particular once access to the preparatory content or the assessment has been opened or used (article L. 221-28). An assessment already started does not give rise to a refund.
Any other cancellation request is examined in accordance with applicable law and the special conditions shown at checkout. Failure in the assessment is not, on its own, a ground for a refund.
9. Intellectual property
Preparatory content, papers and the certificate are licensed for personal use during the access period. Reproduction, resale, public sharing or automated extraction is forbidden. Submitted answers may be retained for assessment, evidence and archiving.
10. Liability
AEES takes reasonable steps to keep the Service available. It cannot be held liable for interruptions due to maintenance, hosting, networks, force majeure or non-compliant use. To the extent permitted by law, its liability is limited to the amount paid for the order concerned.
11. Personal data
Data collected to perform the contract are processed in accordance with the privacy policy. Acceptance of these terms is not consent for processing that requires it.
12. Changes
The applicable version is the one accepted on the date of the order. AEES may update these terms for future orders. Orders already placed remain governed by the accepted version, unless a mandatory rule provides otherwise.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. For a question about an order, a payment, access or a complaint, write to certify@aees-edu.euquoting the order reference. An academic appeal may be sent to recours@aees-edu.eu.
Failing an amicable solution, the competent courts of Paris have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory rules applicable to consumers. A European consumer may also use the European Commission’s online dispute-resolution platform.
