Becoming a partner centre opens an institutional dialogue around a specific academic project. AEES seeks to understand the institution’s identity, priorities, teams and the value that cooperation can create for learners and the region.
The application pathway
- Exploratory discussion: project, local context, proposed programmes and shared ambitions.
- Institutional file: legal identity, governance, local authorisation, teams and resources.
- Review and dialogue: evidence analysis, interview and visit where appropriate.
- Decision and roadmap: approved scope, commitments, preparatory action and follow-up arrangements.
What we look for
A clear educational purpose, identifiable governance, qualified teams, appropriate resources and a genuine commitment to embed continuous improvement in institutional practice.
Documents and checks
The file must allow verification of legal existence, authorisations required in the country of operation, relevant directors and beneficial owners, academic leadership, teacher qualifications, teaching resources, contractual information for students and assessment procedures. Originals or confirmation from the source may be requested.
Effect of applying
Submitting a file, attending an interview or receiving a visit does not constitute approval. Only a written decision specifies authorised programmes, site or delivery mode, duration, any conditions and rules for using the AEES mark. No public claim of approved-centre status is permitted before that decision.
Renewal of approval
Approval applies for the period stated in the public record and is not renewed automatically. The centre provides updated information on its identity, authorisations, governance, teams, enrolments, outcomes and incidents or complaints handled during the period.
Review may combine document analysis, interviews, file sampling and a visit where risks justify it. The decision may maintain or reduce the scope, impose conditions, defer or refuse renewal. Expired approval may not be presented as valid.
