Leadership, strategy and impact
A vague familiarity with “Leadership, strategy and impact” is no longer enough. This belongs with Leadership and strategy. You hold a course, you change an organisation and you make an impact readable. People are hired to decide, not just to name the topic. This AEES certification is for professionals, managers and leaders who want to judge a strategic priority, align a team on a course and make impact measurable. No diploma is required. What is required is a working command of written French, and the will to show the subject on a real file, in a company, a public body or a partner organisation.
You are not joining a long degree. You take “Leadership, strategy and impact” seriously enough to use it, and seriously enough for someone else to read it on a file. Everything happens online, around a job you already have. You prepare if you need to, then you sit a professional assessment. The AEES Executive Certificate, if it is issued, is proof in your name, and it can be checked. It holds in a CV, a move or a cooperation. It is a short specialisation, issued by a higher-education institution. You see at once what you are buying: a targeted title, not a course catalogue.
Afterwards you can carry “Leadership, strategy and impact” into a team, a file or a new responsibility, and explain your choices to a manager, a funder or a partner institution. Others will see that you can judge a strategic priority, align a team on a course and make impact measurable, including outside your own organisation. If you succeed, AEES issues an AEES Executive Certificate in your name, with a unique serial number that can be checked in the public register. The award stays in your workspace. It shows a professional judgement you have demonstrated, useful for a CV, a new post or work in common.

To prepare for the assessment
After purchase, a preparatory course is available: 6 written modules, without an instructor, at your own pace. You are not required to follow it before opening the assessment. Each module sets out the notions, a commented case, the points to keep and a FAQ. It covers Course and authority, Priorities under constraint, Alignment and Visible decision.
When you are ready, you enter the assessment: a file already open, incomplete facts, conflicting views. You move through successive decisions. This is not a full taught programme with pedagogical supervision.
Notions, objectives and concrete examples, organised progressively.
A commented professional situation to anchor the theory.
Frequent doubts, then questions to go further on your own.
- Module 1/6: Course and authority This first module sets your course and your authority. You choose the direction and outcomes, then define who decides what, and under which guardrails. When you do this well, teams know where they are going, why it matters, and which decisions they can take without asking you. Work speeds up, quality rises, and you keep control of the few choices that shape the organisation for years. When you skip this step, you end up as the bottleneck or you watch the course drift with every local trade‑off. You are a working leader, not a full‑time student. The method here fits how busy organisations actually run. You will write one page that states your course and authority. You will map the few strategic decisions you keep. You will delegate the rest with clear thresholds and metrics. You will set up a simple feedback loop that tells you quickly if the course is at risk. This module also links your choices to recognised governance and control principles, so your approach is both practical and defensible.
- Module 2: Priorities under constraint Scarcity is not an exception. It is the normal state for leaders who carry strategy and impact. You will run into calendars that do not stretch, budgets that do not grow, and teams that cannot split in two. Your responsibility is not to wish those limits away. It is to judge what matters, shape options that fit reality, and move the organisation with confidence. This module gives you a practical way to choose under real constraints. You will frame outcomes and non‑negotiables, put numbers or proxies on value and time, and apply explicit criteria. You will learn to assemble options that fit your capacity, not the other way around. The output is a crisp decision others can carry without calling you back.
- Module 3: Alignment Alignment is not everyone agreeing. It is a repeatable way to keep sales, operations, finance, legal, technology, HR and external partners moving in the same direction when their incentives, timelines and constraints pull them apart. In this module you will learn to hold the same course while each function does its job, even when that job seems to contradict another. You will make the direction explicit, draw the line between what cannot change and what can, and decide how your organization will handle conflicts without calling you back for every exception. You will work with practical artifacts. You will translate a course into operating non-negotiables and degrees of freedom. You will build a conflict matrix to surface contradictions early. You will define decision rules, guardrails and service levels that settle most tensions locally and escalate the right ones fast. You will connect impact metrics to decisions and reporting, so alignment is visible and measurable, not a slogan.
- Module 4 of 6: Visible decision This module teaches you to turn leadership judgement into a visible, executable decision. A visible decision is written, specific, and attached to an owner, a timeline, and measurable outcomes. It closes the gap between what leaders intend and what operators can carry out. You will learn a simple structure that captures the what, why, who, when, and how, and that stands up to real constraints inside a busy organisation. In practice, most delays do not come from the depth of analysis. They come from ambiguity that shifts risk to operators, who then ask for repeated clarifications. Your goal is to reverse that pattern. A good decision transfers clarity, not risk. It reduces coordination cost, sets a clear test for success, and specifies how to handle exceptions. That is what makes a decision visible and executable.
- Module 5, Resistance: Handle a blockage without diluting the course or breaking the team Every meaningful strategy meets resistance. Some objections protect real constraints. Others defend habits, status, or comfort. Your role is not to crush or appease resistance, but to convert it into progress without diluting the course or damaging the team. This module gives you concrete ways to diagnose what kind of blockage you face, quantify its impact, create options that preserve the course, and take a clean decision that people can execute. You will learn what to flex, what to hold firm, how to escalate professionally, and how to protect dissent without giving vetoes to anyone.
- Impact: Report a Result, Not an Activity Executives pay for change in outcomes. They do not pay for hours, workshops, or lines of code unless those activities move the needles that matter. Impact is the difference your work makes compared to what would have happened anyway. This module teaches you to close that gap between effort and effect by reporting a result, not an activity. Reporting a result is a discipline. You will define the outcome you seek, choose indicators that capture it, set a baseline and a target, then collect and test evidence. You will separate contribution from attribution and learn to state uncertainty without paralysis. The output is a single, decision-ready result line supported by a short note that any senior leader can read and use.
