Assessment

Academic qualifications are assessed by boards. AEES Executive Certificates follow the arrangements published in AEES Certify.

Academic qualifications

  • Papers and mark schemes approved by the examinations committee.
  • Candidate identity checked for summative assessments.
  • Moderation of a sample by an examiner who has not taught the cohort.
  • Pass mark published on each specification, generally 50% per component for diplomas, 70% for some certificates.
  • The teaching centre proposes marks; AEES confirms them before award.
