AEES quality arrangements apply to the qualifications it awards and the institutions it authorises to teach them. This is private institutional quality assurance: it replaces neither national authorisation to operate nor accreditation by a public authority.
Review cycle
- Approval: verification of identity, capacity, programme and evidence before authorisation.
- Delivery: compliance with the approved scope, student information and record keeping.
- Assessment: security of papers, candidate identity, marking and boards.
- Monitoring: review of outcomes, incidents, complaints and corrective actions.
- Renewal: fresh review before the published approval expiry date.
Possible outcomes
Review may result in approval, conditional approval, deferral pending evidence, refusal, suspension or withdrawal. The scope, duration, reasons and follow-up deadlines must be recorded in the decision.
